Nov. 27th, 2014 06:05 amI know today is a day for giving thanks. And that I will do.
But it is also the one year annivesary of my fathers death.
Nobody in the family felt like cooking so we are all going out
to dinner. It shall prove to be an interesting day.
I miss my dad, and I've missed him all year but although
technically last year was the first Thanksgiving without him.
(if you wanna say that.) This if the first one the family is actually
getting together and celebrating without him.
And it already feels like something is missing.
R had plans to be with his father 4 hours away today but when
he realized what today was he changed his plans to spend the
day with me. That should be very helpful.
I know a lot of us have lost our parents and others close to us
and the holidays are hard. To them and everyone here on lj
I want to say
HAPPY THANKSGIVING:)
And make everyday count.
