Where does the time go?
Jul. 20th, 2015 08:08 amYesterday my son (my little boy/ I'd like to say) turned 14!
He is small for his age(the smallest of all his friends) and still my little Pumpkinhead but is growing like a weed
and won't be the smallest for long. I'm not overly tall /used to be 5'7.5 but am not just 5'7, and his dad is a good 6'3.5.
He got a small start into this world, coming 2 months early and has seems like he has always been playing 'catch up'.
But his voice has changed over the last few months and he just does not sound like my little boy anymore.
I know these things happen, but are we ever really prepared?
It all just goes by so fast.
He will be a Freshman in High School this year and I know it sounds stupid but it seems not long ago I was sending
him to kindergarder.
Anyway we (my x husband his wife and me and Randall) had a big party for him and all his frieds at a place called
"Power Play" -Lazer tag, go carts, bowling, rock climbing and every arcard game you could think of...and of course food.
He and his friends all had a great time...expensive because everytime you turn around one of these boys was running out
of money on these 'reloadable Power Play cards' (which you need to play the games.) But worth every penny to see how
much fun he was having. Later at his Dads house we had cake and opened presents and he told me it was a GREAT
birthday. Which made it a great weekend for me:)
